LCMS Student Council

The Blue Tide Way

The Long County Middle School Student Council is a student-centered leadership organization that gives students the opportunity to have a voice, serve their school and community, and help make LCMS better every day.

Student Council members work together to represent their classmates, share ideas, promote school spirit, and find ways to make a positive difference at LCMS. Members are encouraged to take an active role in planning, problem-solving, and turning their ideas into action.

What Does the Student Council Do?

LCMS Student Council members:

• Represent the student voice and respectfully share ideas and concerns

• Plan and assist with school-wide activities, events, and fundraisers

• Participate in school improvement and service projects

• Promote school spirit, kindness, and a positive school culture

• Welcome and help support new students

• Assist with daily flag duty and proper flag etiquette

• Work together to identify ways to make LCMS better every day

• Develop important leadership, teamwork, communication, and responsibility skills

Being a Student Council Member

Student Council members are expected to be positive representatives of Long County Middle School. Members demonstrate responsibility, respect, teamwork, good citizenship, and a willingness to serve others.

Most importantly, LCMS Student Council is student-centered. Students are encouraged to bring their ideas to the table, take initiative, work together, and play an active role in making a difference.

Our goal is simple: give students a voice, develop student leaders, serve others, and help make LCMS better every day.
